HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!!

KMFDM Records is 4 years old today. Although conceived in 2002 to release the much anticipated and debated Opium CD on Bill Rieflin's First World label, KMFDM Records did not fully spring into existence until KMFDM founder and leader, Sascha K. declared the label's official formation on KMFDM DOTKOM on the very day of the band's 20th Anniversary.

While the label had a brief false start, with the planned first release being scrapped within three weeks of its announcement it has brought the world quite a few releases in a mere 4 years. In conjunction with Metropolis Records KMFDM Records has released two new KMFDM albums (Hau Ruck and Tohuvabohu), a new remix EP (Ruck Zuck) and the band's first ever full length remix album (Brimborium). The label has also reissued the entire run of KMFDM Classics from What Do You Know, Deutschland? to Adios (10 albums in all) along with both albums (Conquer Your World and Gentle Death) from Sascha K's side project Excessive Force in the same joint fashion.

On its own the label has released the Sold Out Double CD Limited Edition version of KMFDM's 84-86 and the debut CD from Sascha and Lucia's side project with Dean Garcia of Curve, KGC's Dirty Bomb. Additionally KMFDM Records put out the Sold Out 20th Anniversary Tour 2004 Double DVD and has also worked with KMFDM Family members Legion Within (Aeons and The Empty Men) and Black:Japan (Machines That Crush Bones) to help release their work.

That is quite a body of work, 22 CDs and two DVDs in 48 short months. All of this is not to mention the insanity that was wrought through all of the fan oriented projects like the FanKam and FanPhone. Now on the band's 24th (and the label's 4th) Anniversary KMFDM Records announces KMFDM 24/7 . . .

Celebrating the 24th Anniversary of KMFDM, KMFDM Records announces KMFDM 24/7. KMFDM 24/7 is a series of twenty four seven inch vinyl singles featuring tracks from the band's original 12" singles and classic album cuts. Singles will be released on the first of every month in the order they were originally released for 24 months culminating on Feb 01, 2010 with a brand new exclusive single.

Each of the 24 singles will be released in a Limited Edition First and Only Pressing of 250 copies. All tracks have been remastered specifically for vinyl by the same crew who did the incredible remaster work on the KMFDM Classic CDs. Cover art for all the singles will feature original classic KMFDM artwork by Brute! (except the first release, which is by Jr. Blackmale).

These singles have been created with the highest level of involvement from KMFDM founder and leader, Sascha K. Some songs in this series will appear in remastered form for the first time and some will be making their first appearance on vinyl ever.

Pressed on classic black (or opaque white) imported 70g virgin vinyl, each 33 1/3 rpm single has color center labels with a small center spindle hole (so no adaptor is required for playing). The vinyl is housed in a dustless inner sleeve with the center label area cut out for easy viewing. The color outer jacket is made of virgin paper offset printed in the USSA with UV resistant ink. Each single comes in a protective 4 mil poly bag to guard against wear from handling.

The first release in the KMFDM 24/7 series is the Kickin' Ass single featuring "Kickin' Ass" b/w "Itchy Bitchy". Kickin' Ass is out and available now.

The KMFDM 24/7 series is available exclusively from the KMFDM Store. One order for each 7" will be chosen at random to will receive a FREE Test Pressing of that 7" single in addition to the regular 7" ordered. Each order will have a 1 in 250 chance of receiving the FREE Test Pressing. This FREE Test Pressing being given away is one of only 5 made.

All KMFDM 24/7 singles will be shipped in reinforced 200# test crush free cardboard 7" boxes with 200# test cardboard filler pad to insure undamaged receipt.

The next KMFDM 24/7 release will be "Don't Blow Your Top" b/w "Disgust", out on April 01, 2008. Following titles and tracklistings will be announced one by one as the perviously announced release become available.

KMFDM 24/7 - 24 singles, 24 years - Happy Anniversary KMFDM!

KMFDM, on the cusp of their 24th year, present their first full blown remix album ever, Brimborium. The album features 13 tracks and clocks in at over 73 minutes running time, offering dancefloor freaks and ultra heavy beat fans a disc that is packed with remixes and never before released material.

Brimborium contains 11 remixes of tracks from Tohuvabohu (KMFDM’s 2007 release), a remix from 2005’s Hau Ruck (never before available on CD) and one new track (created from fans’ phone calls). The remixers include none other than KMFDM themselves – with entries from Sascha K., Jules Hodgson and Steve White. Also featured are remixes by past KMFDM opening acts – Combichrist, DJ? Acucrack, 16 Volt and Angelspit. Additional remixes by industrial music pioneers Die Krupps, future electronic superstar Velox Music and Icon Of Coil/Zombie Girl legend Sebastian Komor round out the high-caliber list of contributors.

'Brimborium' can be loosely translated as "something with no meaning or value", perhaps a comment on most bands’ approaches to a remix record, but not so with KMFDM! Aside from an all-star cast heavily reworking tracks on the CD, the accompanying booklet features explosive new artwork from Brute! and liner notes that tell the behind-the-scenes story of KMFDM’s Fan Phone.

Brimborium features double doses of Tohuvabohu’s most popular tracks, the title cut and "Looking For Strange". The album’s one all-new piece is called "What We Do For You", a title lifted from a line in the band’s hit song "Light". This new audio collage is built out of samples from some of the best (and craziest) calls KMFDM received on their Fan Phone during the recording of Tohuvabohu.

KMFDM offers you yet another top-notch release that is filled to the Brim(borium) and proves once again that KMFDM are “the power you can trust!”

Brimborium is a joint release between KMFDM Records and Metropolis Records.

KMFDM is proud to announce the release of Excessive Force’s entire catalog. Originally released on Wax Trax! Records these CDs have become much sought after items since going out of print a decade ago.

Both XF albums have been digitally remastered, presenting the music in a quality previously unavailable. The accompanying CD booklets have been given an update, creating even more visual continuity between the two releases. Each booklet reprints the original album and single art inside along with extensive liner notes, never before printed lyrics for each song, previously unavailable complete recording information and never before released or rarely seen photos of XF. Sascha K., the founder and leader of Industrial and Electronic pioneers KMFDM is the driving force behind Excessive Force. All work on these releases, from the remastering to the packaging, has been done with the highest level of participation from Sascha.

The two CDs being released by Metropolis Records comprise the entirety of Excessive Force’s output. Conquer Your World, originally released in 1991, also includes all 3 cuts from the single Conquer Your House. This record was recorded as a partnership between Sascha K. and Buzz McCoy of My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and represents XF’s first foray into Dance, Electronic and House music sounds. 1993’s Gentle Death features the 3 songs from the Blitzkrieg single as bonus tracks. Excessive Force’s second offering delves even deeper into the Chicago House sound containing spotlight vocals from House Queen Liz Torres of Trax Records fame. Major contributions to Gentle Death were also made by Chicago Recording Company’s studio maven Chris Shepard with other period KMFDM regulars joining in as well.

Excessive Force is a violent peace that is set to conquer the world once again.

Conquer Your World and Gentle Death are both available now wherever music that blows your house down can be found.

The Excessive Force re-releases are joint releases between KMFDM Records and Metropolis Records.

KMFDM, now in their 23rd year, remain a musical entity to be reckoned with. Through relentless experimentation and reinvention they have continued to unleash a barrage of songs that allow their fans to dance with abandon, bang their heads or dissect the band’s cuttingly cunning lyrics – sometimes all at once!

KMFDM’s new album, Tohuvabohu is no exception. ‘Tohuvabohu’, an Old Testament word meaning “wild and chaotic”, perfectly captures the spirit and energy behind the tracks contained therein. Sascha Konietzko, the band’s founder and leader, conducts his army of analog synths and wields his razor sharp lyrics and vocals. Chanteuse Lucia infuses her tracks with a fiercely powered urgency alternating with soft beauty. The KMFDM core remains solid as ever with Jules Hodgson, Andy Selway and Steve White providing the cranking guitars and forceful beats that KMFDM is known for.

While staying true to the Ultra Heavy Beat, Tohuvabohu also dares to venture into new territory, ultimately destroying everything in its path. The album offers up servings of dance (“Looking For Strange”), metal (“Saft Und Kraft”) and industrial (“Spit Or Swallow”), along with the somewhat unexpected elements of darkwave (“Tohuvabohu”), sweeping epic (“Bumaye”) and even rock/pop (“Fait Accompli”).

Tohuvabohu adds to the growing list of languages sung in the KMFDM catalog – Latin, Hebrew, Lingala (an African language) and Spanish can all be found within. The Spanish language cover of Liaisons Dangereuses’ dancefloor favorite “Los Niños Del Parque” provides a perfectly retro/electronic departure as one of the album’s most memorable tracks.

Continuing the band’s one of a kind relationship with their followers, Sascha K. invited the fans to participate in the creative process via the Fan Phone. For a couple of weeks fans from all over the world called in and recorded stories of what KMFDM means to them. Kapt’n K., as he is known to the devoted horde, wove their voices throughout the album’s opening track, “Superpower”, demonstrating once again that KMFDM belongs to the people (and vice-versa).

KMFDM invites you to celebrate chaos with Tohuvabohu. “Get ready, set, all systems go!”

Tohuvabohu is joint release between KMFDM Records and Metropolis Records.

KMFDM Records proudly announces the release of KGC's debut album, Dirty Bomb. Available exclusively from the KMFDM Store, the CD was released on Thursday, December 14th.

This collaboration of alternative music giants Sascha Konietzko (KMFDM), Dean Garcia (Curve) and Lucia Cifarelli (KMFDM, Drill) was composed via the web, by trading files back and forth between London and Seattle over a period of many months. The music they created pushing sounds over the trans-Atlantic ether took on a life and presence of its own. The three have created a haunting, twisted landscape of sound that is both hypnotic, aggressive and surreal. A maelstrom of emotions laced with the underbelly of the anti-hero. With their mutual affinity of all things odd, the album marries their individual influences and births a truly unique love child that draws you in with cinematic splendor, where the ever present momentum of guitars and electronics push harder and deeper, luring the listener further and further into their strange world of darkness.

The first 250 Preorders of the CD from the KMFDM Store received a FREE 11x17 KGC Limited Edition Poster courtsey of KMFDM Records.

Favorite tracks from Hau Ruck appear in totally reworked versions by members of KMFDM as well as by Nude and by infamous Dwarves frontman, Blag.  KMFDM continue to create ultra heavy beats with a sly dose of political irony on their cover of DAF's dancefloor classic "Der Mussolini".  "Ansage" closes out the disc with a German spoken word soundscape that mirrors the tone of our times.  Ruck Zuck commands the attention of all dance, electronic and industrial fans RIGHT NOW!

Ruck Zuck is a joint release between KMFDM Records and Metropolis Records.

KMFDM have been blending and bending musical genres in the underground scene for more than 21 years. While Sascha K. claims (tongue firmly in cheek) to be “the Father of Industrial Rock”, KMFDM have in truth crossed over to rock, metal and dance fans alike. The band has returned with a joint Metropolis Records/KMFDM Records release of their newest album Hau Ruck. Loosely translated from German as ‘Heave-Ho’, Hau Ruck exhibits that title in all its glory, musically rolling up its sleeves and getting to work with heavy guitars, dance inducing synths and aggressive beats. The singing on Hau Ruck finds Lucia unleashing a spectrum of vocal styles and Sascha K spewing his own trademark “bad-ass” attitude. Lyrically thought provoking, yet humorously ironic, KMFDM skewer the world and themselves with each stab. Throwing out all misconceptions of the band and the genres they are associated with Hau Ruck is the most powerful and innovative album that KMFDM has ever created. KMFDM produced and mixed Hau Ruck themselves and were even involved in the mastering process guaranteeing a sonic redefining of their signature sound. From the spoken introduction to the album to the closing track “Auf Wiederseh’n” (sung in German) KMFDM show exactly what some hard work can accomplish. And now . . . “Ladies and Gentlemen, Hau Ruck” .
